The first Captain Marvel trailer is here and we finally get a glimpse of what to expect come March 2019. Being that it's just a teaser trailer we don't get to see too much, but since we'll be getting two to three proper trailers in the coming months, we're fine with this hors d'oeuvre. As it's been rumoured, Captain Marvel wont be your typical Superhero origin story, as the movie will reportedly begin with Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel already in control of her powers and having had them for a while, and as evident in the trailer, her backstory will be revisited in the form of dreams/memories - as it seems like the Human-Kree warrior would have lost memory of her time here on her home planet. We'll also get to see a young Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury before he gets bald and gets an eye patch, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg, Agents of Shield) who last appeared in the Avengers, also returns, as well as Ronan The Accuser (Lee Pace, Guardians of the Galaxy), but enough of my yapping just check it out for yourself.
The trailer was released with a new synopsis:
"Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom."
